Counselor Spotlight: Dr. Gale Grimaud

Dr. Gale Grimaud has over 20 years of experience including clinical case management, school guidance/counseling, marriage/family counseling, and parental counseling. She has also worked extensively with survivors of abuse, and finds it immensely rewarding to assist them on their journey to recovery.

Gale believes counseling is a journey by which the counselor facilitates the client in self-exploration. The goal of counseling is to increase the client's self-awareness and ultimately lead to a solution which will bring life-long positive changes.

Gale came to Eagle after searching for a position that matched her values and beliefs. Eagle is exactly what she was looking for!

In her spare time. Gale enjoys unwinding by gardening, fishing with her husband, or playing the piano. She has always wanted to push her boundaries by parachuting out of an airplane - but Gale doesn't like heights, so we will have to wait and see if she will pull it off one day!

Below are few more fun facts about Gale:

One of her favorite quotes: “When the past calls, let it go to voicemail, believe me, it has nothing new to say.” – Unknown

One of her favorite books: The Shack. It is a great read for anyone coping with loss and uncertainty in life.

If she could be remembered in 5 words or less, they would be: She loved God and others!
