Water Ripple

Upon obtaining a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Athens State University, I worked with non-profit agencies providing in-home and residential services to clients in need. After working with children, adolescents, and adults for several years, I spent some time gaining invaluable, diverse experience in the Department of Defense (DOD) world. It was during the pandemic, that I felt called back to my original goal of becoming a counselor.

I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Alabama (UNA) and am enthusiastically anticipated to graduate in December, 2023. As everyone has different upbringings, beliefs, and values, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, like Person Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to meet you where you are. At my core, I aim to treat everyone with genuine warmth and respect. I am motivated and have a passion to help others find healing from past hurts and hope for the future. It’s my goal to greet you with a smile, create an inviting space where you feel safe to share your unique story, and support you along your journey.

In leisure time, I enjoy concerts, football in the Fall, and traveling with my husband. Spending time with loved ones, eating Mexican food, playing with our two dogs, and occasionally finding good bargains at thrift and consignment stores are also things that bring me joy. Something most people don’t know about me is that I love anything competitive. Often when travelling, my husband and I find a local arcade and duel at all games, but especially air hockey!
