I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health from UAB.  I don’t think there is a “one size fits all” approach. I believe in meeting you where you are on your life journey and walking next to you during the tough seasons. I often integrate Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral therapy into sessions depending on what your goals are.  I love incorporating humor, metaphors, and options for problem-solving into my sessions as well.

I am often quirky, energetic, and enjoy thinking out of the box for solutions, which makes me relatable when working with children, teenagers, and their families. I also have experience and enjoy working with every age group concerning issues of ADHD, adjustment struggles, anger management, anxiety, coping skills, communication skills, conflict resolution, depression, parenting tools, stress management, and trauma. I am also the go-to counselor for our Co-Parenting classes.

I grew up in Decatur and currently reside here with my daughter. Outside of the office, I partake in self-care through engaging in CrossFit, enjoying a good meal with my family, bingeing The Great British Bake-Off or The Office, holding sweet babies at church, traveling, and admiring the little things.

My favorite quote to date:

“On and on you will hike,

And I know you’ll hike far

and face up to your problems

whatever they are.” – Dr. Seuss

Five words I want to be remembered by:

Her humor always brighten my day!
