Water Ripple

I’m Lindsey Nelson, and I’m honored to walk alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most difficult and vulnerable moments. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science, which has grounded me in research and a deep understanding of the mind-body connection. I’m currently practicing as an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Kimberley Allfrey.

My heart is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and valued. Healing begins when we feel safe enough to be ourselves, and I am passionate about blending empathy with clinical knowledge to support you in your unique journey toward restoration and hope.

I work with individuals ages 3 and up, using approaches rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. My clinical experience includes supporting those struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, family challenges, couples and marriage therapy, and play therapy for children. I hold certifications in Gottman Couples Therapy, SYMBIS, and Prepare-Enrich Couples Therapy. I also have extensive experience working with teenagers and young adults and providing parent coaching to nurture stronger family connections.

I’m here not only for those processing trauma, but also for anyone who simply needs a compassionate professional and presence to work through life’s challenges.

As a wife and mother with personal and professional experience in adoption and foster care, I deeply understand the joys and challenges that come with these journeys. This perspective enriches my work with families walking through adoption and foster care, offering compassionate guidance and support.

Above all, I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and I strive to reflect His love, grace, and character in every interaction. It is my hope that through our work together, you will find healing, restoration, and renewed hope—knowing you are never alone.
